Experience
I have over 5,000 hours of one-on-one tutoring experience remediating students with dyslexia, speech and language issues and other reading issues. Using Orton-Gillingham and other research based programs, I help public, private, or home school children learn to read, write, spell, and improve math skills. Also, my B.S. in speech language pathology and education allows me to specifically target the needs of children with speech or language delay/disorders. I have nine years of teaching experience in the public school and five years of one-on-one private tutoring. This has enabled me to quickly determine student weaknesses in reading and math, and then set goals to rapidly improve student performance.
